The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the higher amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point status sassa developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
